Primary School and High School Activities

Reepham’s Schools join in the Festival with enthusiasm.

On May 11, the High School ran their fantastic Masterchef organised by Mrs Gibbs. Students submitted recipe ideas using local produce.  Twelve students cooked their recipes under the watchful eye of professional judges. This year’s judges were Gary Dyos of our sponsor Norse, Charlie Hodson and Rotary President Trevor Nelson.  The winners were awarded their prizes at the demonstration marquee on Festival Day. You can see the results here.

The Primary School was the focus of loads of activity. They will be showed off their new Japanese Garden.  With our Fun Food Science,  there were exciting experiments for children to join in. There were also experts from the Norwich Science Park to explain various aspects of food and cooking.

The expanding allotments at the High School run by students were a popular visitor attraction. They also showed off their produce in the Town Square. The WI showed off some odd and unusual fruit and vegetables and how they can fit into our diet.

Reepham Scouts once again demonstrated their survival cooking skills. Coffee and cakes were served by Cuppa Jo andGaye’s plant stall did brisk trade..
